GUESS WHO GOT A DREMEL FOR CHRISTMAS. I guess my dad decided he wanted his back.
Here it is in my workspace–it took a little getting used to, but I eventually figured out how to draw with it on plexiglas.
Here’s the sketch I decided to try–I doodled this at work one day, and later found it in my purse. I figured it would make a decent practice print (since this was the first time I’d done this kind of drypoint), but ended up liking it a lot.
Second proof.Final print, after some burnishing. After I chine colle’d it, his ended up being my contribution to the Cascade Print Exchange VII, an annual exchange organized by my former professor (and rockstar printmaker) Yuji Hiratsuka.
