Buskers at this Week’s Farmers’ Market

art, photography, Prints

This morning the Merry Inksters were back at the Corvallis Farmers’ Market! We had a lot of people stop to talk to us about the studio, classes, and just where our studio is at in Corvallis–it’s on Circle Blvd. across from the DMV, if you’re curious. Apparently a fair number of people had heard of us but had no idea where we were located.

I snuck a couple quick shots of Ed hard at work. He put on printing demos all day for curious folks–a lot of kids seem to find this kind of printing fascinating, having never experienced anything but digital.

I abandoned my post at our table (where I was working on a new pirate ship woodblock) long enough to make some new busker friends.DSC_0009 DSC_0025 DSC_0027 DSC_0036 DSC_0069These guys had a pretty big crowd lined up, and behind them there was a whole group of younger people dancing to their music. It was a pretty cool scene–I heard an old lady say how happy it made her to see people dancing again.

It was a good day. Come by and see us next week if you’re in the area!
